After three truly amazing months photographing, gallery-hopping, high-altitude trekking, backpacking and eating my way through Southeast Asia, I’m back home in the States just in time for wedding season to begin. My first week back was a rush, packed to the brim with paperwork and invoicing, Skype sessions and exciting new client meetings, sunrise and sunset engagement sessions, and a double header wedding weekend. Though the demands of running a small business certainly jolted me back to the real world in my first few days at home, things slowed down as soon as I got behind the camera, in front of Jenny & Joe. With the two of them cuddled up to one another and my camera up to my eye, with the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains in the distance and warm golden hour light rushing in all around us, it all made sense to me. I’d come home, and there’s no where else in the whole big wide world I’d rather be.
Jenny & Joe were married in Orange, VA at the insanely charming Inn at Westwood Farm and I am so thankful that they asked me to play a small part in their sun-filled day. A few images are in the mix by my incredibly talented friend and associate Elicia Bryan Photography .
